4 - 6 compulsory gymnasts compete in USA
Gymnastics (USAG) Junior Olympic sanctioned competitions. The
routines, which are defined by USAG, are identical for each competitor.
Optional Gymnastics
(Level
7 - 10)
Like
compulsory gymnasts, level 7 - 10 optional gymnasts compete in USAG
Junior Olympic sanctioned competitions; however, their routines and
skills vary from each gymnast and event.
